Welcome to Mr. Jordaan's house, a small boutique hotel nestled in the heart of the Jordaan with 34 rooms. But we're not just any boutique hotel. To start, Mr. Jordaan is a haven for travelers, and we go the extra mile to make people genuinely feel at home. Our interaction with guests goes beyond the usual check-in and check-out procedures. We provide our guests with a unique and unforgettable experience, showing them Amsterdam and the Jordaan through our eyes. Service and genuine interest play a crucial role in this. For instance, during breakfast, as our guests savor freshly baked croissants and share their plans for the day with us, we jump in with our personal favorite spots and attractions. These moments of personal connection continue throughout the day. At Mr. Jordaan, it's all about personal attention and exceeding expectations.

As an operational team member at Mr. Jordaan, no day is the same. We're a small hotel with no distinct departments, so everyone gets to be truly versatile. Examples of your responsibilities include:

• General Maintenance: Undertake tasks such as plastering and painting to uphold the aesthetic appeal of our facilities.
• Plumbing Proficiency: Handle minor plumbing tasks, including faucet replacements and silicone sealing.
• Illuminating Excellence: Install and maintain lighting fixtures to create a welcoming and well-lit atmosphere.
• Versatile Skill Set: Apply your skills in tiling, laminate flooring, carpentry, and even electrical and plumbing work as needed.
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks and maintenance on locks to ensure their smooth and secure operation.

A multitasking hospitality hero with a fresh perspective, a hands-on mentality, and a proactive attitude. Together with the team, you aim to deliver the highest quality and strive to exceed our guests' expectations. Experience in the hotel industry is a plus, but a strong command of at least Dutch and English is a requirement. Both full-timers and part-timers are warmly welcomed here.

You have…

• Previous experience in maintenance or related fields is a definite advantage.
• Proficiency in plastering, painting, and light plumbing is a must.
• Knowledge or experience in tasks like tiling, laminate flooring, carpentry, and familiarity with electrical and plumbing systems will be highly advantageous.
• An unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch work with exceptional attention to detail.
• The ability to work independently and efficiently.
